I am very fortunate to have built such a successful career centered on the two of the things I enjoy most – golf and people.
For nearly three decades, I have worked at some of the most exclusive private clubs in Texas, becoming an integral part of their success. From PGA Professional to Director of Golf to General Manager, each experience has been as varied as it has been rewarding. And each has offered a new set of challenges – from building a new, 5-Star club from the ground up to providing outstanding, individualized service to a 1200+ membership.
With each new challenge and new experience brings more wisdom. Over the years, what I have come to appreciate most is that a golf club experience is not as much about the meticulous greens or fabulous food. It’s about the people who both play and work at the club.
I have found that by providing solid leadership, defining clear goals and expectations for my staff, as well as developing a rapport with each member, I can encourage and positively impact them, helping them reach their full potential. In addition, I recognize what members and guests need to ensure satisfaction, along with increasing the service level to the entire organization.
Through continual attention to detail and initiative, I have the opportunity to impact the experiences of many people. Daily, I strive to make a positive impact on my coworkers, members, and guests at my facility.
